Trash Collection, 2014


In a studio class called Collections and Archives we were given the prompt to attend Swap-O-Rama,
a large flea market in Chicago and create a collection with items purchased at the market. After
facing several unexpected hurdles to getting there including car breaking down, delayed bus routes
and finally not having cash to pay the entry price (or the time to get to an atm that wouldn't charge
a fee before the market would close) I decided to make a collection of items I found in the parket lot
outside the market.
